Rob McLean, Chief Operating Officer of Roebbelen Contracting, Inc., will be presenting at a workshop for the 35th Annual Conference on School Facilities.

The conference, organized by California’s Coalition for Adequate School Housing (CASH), provides attendees with information on school bonds, new laws and regulations, industry trends, Proposition 39 and the Local Control Funding Formula (LCFF), among many other topics.

Mr. McLean, joined by Heather Steer from Western Placer Unified School District, will speak to the topic of “Bid Protests – War Stories from the Front Lines.” From the CASH conference brochure:

“Effective procedures for handling bid protests – when have you done enough? Is the district required to give the bidder due process before rejecting its bid? Is the district required to allow bid protests? Strategies to present to the Governing Board.”

The conference, scheduled Monday, February 24 through Wednesday, February 26 at the Sacramento Convention Center and Hyatt Regency, will feature a school tour (on Monday, the 24th, of the Winn Center for Architecture, Construction Management, Photography and Pharmacy at Cosumnes River College), six clinics, over twenty roundtable discussions, over thirty-five workshops and a trade show. Many of the clinics and workshops this year will focus on 21st century learning environments and technology.

Make sure to stop by our booth at the trade show for some goodies and information on why Roebbelen is the ultimate choice in education construction. More information on the conference and detailed information on the many learning opportunities available during the three-day event can be found on the CASH Conference website.
