The new education services center consolidates six district locations, currently dispersed across Folsom and Rancho Cordova, CA into one main district administration building.

The building features a 200-seat boardroom (complete with operable partition walls to create smaller meeting areas), café/kitchen area, print shop, storage rooms, instructional media center, testing center (complete with two smartboards), training labs, parent resource center, district administrative support areas and a warehouse area with loading dock. Each floor of this four-story building has two conference rooms, a work room and a break room. The structural and exterior building elements include structural steel, metal framing, metal decking, concrete tile-up panels, metal and aluminum composite wall panel systems, metal roof decking, and single ply roofing. The interior elements include access flooring on every floor, tile carpeting, linoleum floor covering, two sets of elevators, restrooms (including showers, low flush toilets, lockers and benches), plastic laminate casework and mobile storage shelving.

The District’s Educational Technology and Information Systems (ETIS) department encompasses a third of the 3rd floor of this building. The ETIS server room consists of a UPS battery back-up system (80 KVA) with an emergency generator (350 KvA). The server room is equipped with an FM200 Fire Alarm System with a preaction and VESDA (very early warning aspirating smoke detection) systems, Power Distribution Units (PDUs), and a raised flooring system with energy efficient under floor plenum.
