A dedication ceremony took place on June 7th for the new, Roebbelen-built, Stanislaus County Juvenile Commitment Center on Blue Gum Avenue in Modesto, CA. The year and a half long project began in September 2011 and was completed March 28, 2013.

The facility is capable of housing up to 60 youth offenders, focusing on reform through vocational programs and mental health counseling. The 47,000 SF Center includes a 30-bed living unit, two additional (and separate) 15-bed units, classrooms, occupational training rooms, program rooms with computer hookups, administrative offices, culinary training kitchen, gymnasium and visiting center, parking lot and outdoor recreation areas.

Stanislaus County Assistant Chief Executive, Patty Hill Thomas, presented Roebbelen with an award “In Grateful Appreciation for Construction Excellence & Community Collaboration” at the dedication.
