The new community room at Eskaton Lodge Granite Bay was unveiled at a ribbon cutting ceremony on March 15. The afternoon was filled with music, treats and tales of the community room’s evolution.

Vicky Cross, Executive Director, spoke of how grateful she was to have the Roebbelen team by her side every step of the way.

“Regardless of what happened along the journey, I knew we were in the best hands,” she said. “I would like to thank the Roebbelen team; from the beginning you have provided professional service.”

Cross described the “hitches” they faced when the project first began, and how Roebbelen stepped in seamlessly.

Ken Wenham, President and CEO of Roebbelen Contracting, met with Eskaton less than a year ago; ground broke four months ago; and today, residents at Eskaton Lodge Granite Bay are enjoying a new community room.

“The campaign and construction plan did not miss a beat. Ken, thank you for a chance at the lodge,” Cross said.

The ceremonial ribbon was cut by Jeannette Martini, a resident at Eskaton Lodge Granite Bay. This honor was given to her because she made the very first donation to the community room campaign. When giving her donation, Martini said “the best place to give is right here.”
