Solano Community College
The Vacaville Center is a 40,600 sf two-story classroom building. This new facility consists of science classrooms/laboratories, library services, computer classrooms/laboratory, bookstore distribution space and outdoor spaces for study and relaxation. The building is designed to support smart panels in most of the learning spaces. The design creatively addresses day-lighting by incorporating large curtain wall areas in both lobby and main classrooms in addition to a structural glass canopy and large skylight. Other features include a BMS (Building Management System), a designed that allows users in each space to control their own temperature.
