Reconstructing an MRI Suite
Project Kept Services Operational During Expansion
Through Roebbelen’s longstanding partnership with Kaiser Permanente, the company has become expert at working in occupied hospitals to deliver projects. Working closely with all hospital end-users and state regulators, the project involved demolishing and remodeling an existing film library, office spaces, and a reading room to create a new MRI suite – all while making sure that patients and hospital visitors were not disturbed.
The project included:
• Reconstruction of a 3,200 SF existing space for an MRI Suite
• Creating a shared office, support rooms, and new transport team space
• Demolition and removal of existing equipment
• Mechanical, electrical, and plumbing work
• Class III infection control risk assessment
