Athletic facilities to last for generations
New Athletic Complex and Aquatic Center to Serve Students and the Community
Students and residents in the City of Livermore now have an athletic complex designed to serve their needs for generations to come. Adjacent to the stadium at the west end of the campus, the new facilities are near existing locker rooms and provide easy access for residents to participate in recreational programs.
The project included:
• Demolition of existing small- and large gym buildings
• Constructing a multi-level 50,000 SF Athletic Complex Building containing: Physical education classrooms for yoga and dance, Competition-sized wrestling room, Three team rooms, four training rooms, storage and support spaces, Multi-use gym and weight room, Mezzanine level viewing, Ticket booth, concessions, and restroom facilities
• New student parking lot
• Building an 11-lane, 25-meter competition swimming pool with two diving platforms
• Constructing a new 2,900 SF aquatics building
