Enhancing Public Safety

Renovated and enlarged police and fire facility to boost emergency response capability

Residents of San Ramon now enjoy enhanced public safety and emergency response capabilities from their police and fire departments thanks to the completion of a completely renovated Public Safety Facility that also includes an all-new emergency 911 call center building. The enhanced complex allows for improved workflow, communication, and the use of modern systems, coupled with new training facilities for first responders.

The project included:
• Complete renovation, and seismic and structural upgrades of 2 buildings, including San Ramon Valley Fire Administration offices and Police Department headquarters that now include: Conference rooms, Locker rooms, All new systems (electrical, plumbing, HVAC, FA, security, AV, and data management), Board room and classrooms
• New building for an emergency 911 call center and operations center
• Multi-story training tower for high-rise fire simulation
• Roof props for ventilation training
• A water reclamation area
• Classrooms and specialized rescue training area
• Refreshed parking, new landscaping and fencing
